Time-lapse photography reveals beautiful world

The images of Canadian photographer Matt Molloy may look like impressionist paintings, but they actually are yet another fine example of time-lapse photography. Molloy has developed a new concept of “time stacks” technology where hundreds of time-lapse images are blended into one final piece, which shows the photographed objects’ progress in time, how they move, and change in light and shadows.

The final result of this labor-demanding process is a stunning, surreal image that tells a story which otherwise would be left untold. We get to see the movement of the stars that produces unbelievable structures in the night sky above and clouds that form a dreamlike paintings without any brushstrokes. Go to the artist’s extensive Flickr page where even more amazing “time stacks” can be found.
