At once nightmarish and heroic, this tree-like figure is composed of a mixture of natural and technological elements.
Garret Kane is an assemblage artist and this is his latest sculpture. It represents a blend of two figures from vastly different cultures, the ancient Judaic Golem made from mud and sticks and the Japanese Mecha – a robotic protector. Kane combined elements of both to create a “Golemecha” – a towering entity with natural and technological powers.
