Twin Sails Bridge is England is genius and beautiful

This English bridge has a surprise waiting for passersby when it is raised for boats.

Officially called the “Twin Sails Bridge” is a “double leaved bascule bridge” in Poole, Dorset, England. Spanning the Backwater Channel in Holes Bay, the bridge opens up to 15 times per day, taking two minutes at a time. When opened to let boats pass through into the channel, the bridge forms into two beautiful sails measuring 75 feet.
