Meet rescue cats Daikichi and Fuku-Chan: two faithful felines who are the perfect travel companions for their human Daisuke Nagasawa.

It all started in 2011, when Nagasawa began traveling for work. Neither him nor his cats enjoyed being apart, so he decided to take them with him. The adorable pair have now been traveling around Japan with their human for 8 years, and they’ve already visited all 47 prefectures. Nagasawa documents their journey on Instagram, where they’re quickly gaining a huge following of feline fans who can’t wait to see where they go next.
Daikichi and Fuku-Chan have so far toured Tokyo during cherry blossom season, been to some of Japan’s most iconic landmarks, and even paid a visit to Mt. Fuji. But these well-traveled pets didn’t always live the high life. Nagasawa rescued Daikichi from a wildlife park where he was barely surviving in the cold, and Fuku-Chan was found abandoned in a cardboard box.
Today, it’s clear to see how happy Daikichi and Fuku-Chan are with their adventurous lifestyle. The adorable photos on Instagram show them being pushed around in a baby stroller, relaxing comfortably in Nagasawa’s backpack, and even walking on leashes. Who knew cats could be such purrfect travel partners?
