Two artists recreate Garbage Pail Kids 30 years in the future

The Garbage Pail Kids were a series of trading cards created in the 1980’s that featured a collection of unkempt children. Art director Jake Houvenagle and photographer Brandon Voges have created a series of “where are they now?” images of some of the most iconic Garbage Pail Kids.

For a unique twist, the series features these once drawn children as real human adults, 30 years later. Characters include Armpit Brit, Barfin’ Barbara, and Bony Tony. The series uses a considerable amount of witty humor and shows the dark, adult side to these once lovable characters. The artists also crafted different stories about each of the characters, telling how their life has gone.
