Unique guitar picks crafted from old coins

Artisan Andy Gonzales uses everyday objects that are often taken for granted and creates something beautiful and new. His medium is coins of all types and he fashions them into interesting guitar picks.

Gonzales sands down the edges and forms the coins to create the classic rounded triangle design. He then buffs the coins to protect the guitar strings and also to highlight the beauty of each coin’s sculptural relief. Additionally, the coin’s nickel alloy creates a unique tone with the strings.
