Have you ever seen gorgeous satellite imagery on Google Maps and wondered how you could incorporate those images into your home decor?
Argentinean artist Alexandra Kehayoglou has done just that and now she produces unique, handcrafted rugs from beautiful satellite images. The lush environments mimic real-world aerial views reminiscent of something you’d likely find on Google Maps. Some of the pieces can take months depending on their size. Recently, Kehayoglou created a carpeted runway for designer Dries Van Noten; a collaboration with Danish artist Olafur Eliasson. Check out some of her rugs below and find more on Instagram, Artsy, and on her website.
