Video: The laborious process behind beautiful Korean lacquer boxes

This one and a half minute long video depicts over twelve months of artistic labor from Lee Kwang-Woong.

Produced by Victoria & Albert Museum shows off the process behind the creation of a traditional Korean inlaid lacquer box from craftsman Lee Kwang-Woong. All steps including sap harvesting, fret sawing, charcoal polishing, and lacquer curing are shown in beautifully-shot clips. The behind-the-scenes footage really helps the viewer appreciate the final product. Watch it below!
