Regardless of the type of computer, laptop or desktop or even mobile, and the kind of operating system we use, Windows or Mac, we hate seeing “spinning wheel of death” or any of those loading screens that tell us our device can’t handle it anymore.
This was the very inspiration of London-based director Raphael Vangelis in creating a project called Analogue Loaders. He calls this short film his animated autobiography. On his website, he said “I spend most of my life swearing at the computer because it’s crashed or isn’t working. Here, well-known digital symbols are turned into something analogue and playful. The result is a homage to all the lost time we collectively spend in digital limbo in the hopes of sudden development on our screen.” Check out the video below and the behind the scenes which can also be found on his website.
