Watch this animated short film 3D printed frame-by-frame in two years

From French filmmaker Gilles-Alexandre Deschaud comes ‘Chase Me,’ a beautifully animated short film about “a ukelele-playing girl who is chased through a dark forest by the monster that emerges from her own shadow.” According to Deschaud, it took him two years to get 2,500 parts 3D-printed for each frame of the film. All elements including the characters and the set were printed using the Formlabs’ Form 1+ SLA 3D Printer.

From a CG-animated storyboard, the frames were printed, with 15 for each second. “Chase Me is a story about embracing your fears, and turning them, instead, into something beautiful,” says Deschaud. Check out the trailer below and watch the making-of video here.
