“Waterdam” by Telmo Miel in Roeselare, Belgium

Dutch street art duo composed of Telmo Pieper and Miel Krutzman, also known as ‘Telmo Miel’ just finished working on this new piece in Roeselare, Belgium. This project came together through extensive neighbourhood participation starting over a year ago. Together with the elderly of the rest home Motena, they debated style, artist and concept.

Their recent paintings contain playfulness in abstraction of reality, attempting to make the viewer see subjects with a different eye. With references to the human and animal worlds they create complex creatures and fantastic scenarios. Aiming to bring across positivity, humor and a touch of the romantic, their work is arresting and epic.
