We Are Here, 2021

Comunidades Indígenas en Liderazgo (CIELO) is an organization that works closely with migrant Indigenous communities in Los Angeles to fight for social and cultural justice. Together with their partners at UCLA, CIELO embarked on a project to make these communities visible through geospatial visualizations. One map charts the Indigenous languages spoken in the neighborhoods of Los Angeles, an important reminder that Indigenous peoples are here.
