Werksatz Font Family from Identity Letters

Werksatz, a contemporary interpretation of early grotesque typefaces.

Designed by Moritz Kleinsorge of German foundry Identity Letters, Werksatz is a new sans-serif font family that draws inspiration from early grotesque typefaces such as Akzidenz Grotesk or Venus. It consists of 20 cuts including 10 weights plus matching italics. The Werksatz font family masterfully combines the best from the invincible classics with the current zeitgeist and the requirements for today’s typography.

Equipped with an extended Latin-based character set, the font family supports hundreds of languages. In addition, Werksatz comes with special glyphs like three variations of arrows and additional shapes, which makes this typeface a real workhorse for plenty of tasks. The great range of OpenType features includes Capital Spacing, Case-Sensitive Forms, Ligatures, Small Caps, Subscript, Inferior figures and letters, plenty of figure sets, just to name a few.

The Werksatz font family is less formalistic and rigid than most average neogrotesk typefaces we know. Hence, you can use it for a wide range of projects such as branding, editorial design, publications, web design, wayfinding systems, apps, packaging, etc.
