So I just watched “Seeking a Friend for the End of the World,” a great movie. It got me thinking about the end, and what it would look like; bursts of orange, a burning crimson, the blue streaks of the milky way. Or perhaps similar to the true milky swirls of my morning coffee as seen in Flora Borsi’s series ‘Coffee Universe.’
In this incredible series Hungarian artist Borsi transforms the every day landscapes of rural life into a cup of Joe, replacing our skies with the swirly brown textures of your morning coffee. It truly augments reality, transforming our every day situations into a groovy spin of smooth textures, something I’ve only experienced in my cup.
