Wire figures with missing limbs explore children’s emotions

Lene Kilde explores the emotions of children through her wire mesh sculptures

The Norwegian artist’s latest works are mostly restricted to hands and feet of her subjects as they dissolve into thin air while performing different activities. This is meant to invite the viewers to use their imaginations to complete each piece and fill them with fragments of their own stories. Kilde, who completed her Master’s Degree in product design in 2012, was awarded a three-year scholarship from the Norwegian Arts Council. Check out some of her new sculptures below.
