Woman recreates the portraits of her ancestors dating back 200 years

Christine McConnell has gone back 200 years in her family photos and recreated the portraits of women in her family. To do this she dresses as them, styles her hair like them, and mimics the popular photography trends of the time (often a result of the technology).

The side-by-side images show not only her impressive accuracy, but are an interesting experiment in resemblance to her past relatives. McConnell vaguely resembles her Great-great-great-grandmother Martha, born in 1821, but has a striking resemblance to her mother Kathryn, born in 1957.

Listen beautiful relax classics on our Youtube channel.

Christine McConnell is also a talented food artist as seen in our previous coverage of her work.
