London, UK is full of mysterious places with dark pasts. One such mysterious place is a World War II era bomb shelter which was recently converted into an underground farm.
Situated nearly 100 feet below the surface, the bomb shelter was built to keep more than 8,000 people safe during World War II. Seventy years on, entrepreneurs Richard Ballard and Steven Dring, through their company, Zero Carbon Food, have just finished converting the shelter into the world’s first subterranean farm, Growing Underground.
