Worldwide Metro Map connects Times Square Station to Beijing National Library Station

“A subway that would take you from Manhattan to Tokyo, with just a quick transfer in Paris,” is how Fast Company describes what it would be like to use The World Metro Map. The New York-based collective ArtCodeData created the imaginary mapping system that brings together 214 cities across five continents, 791 subway lines and 11,924 stations.

Map designer, Gerardo Cid was inspired by a futuristic vision human mobility in a single anti-capitalist and worldwide city. “We chose the subway because it’s an element with similar characteristics in every big city around the world,” he said.
