Artist Graham Fink is experimenting with eye tracking technology to create his intriguing portraits. The artist never lifts a finger to make his drawings; he literally draws with his eyes. The technology Fink uses, provided by Tobii Technology, uses infrared light to track the movements of his vision. These recorded movements are transformed into digital lines on a computer screen.
This type if technology is typically used for customer research, for instance, understanding what people look at first on a web page. Fink has rethought the function of this tech to create the fascinating series of scribbly portraits you see below. An exhibition of Fink’s work is on display at Riflemaker Gallery in London through March 21st, 2015.
