A Bicycle with a Carbon-Fiber-Infused Plywood Frame

…add layers of carbon fiber…

…and glue it up in a press.

These pieces are then shaped into the bike’s frame, connected with aluminum parts:

Yasuda reckons the Moccle’s frame will dampen vibration, and he created the bike for casual cruising rather than performance. Furthermore, “We designed a bicycle,” he writes, “that can be displayed in the living room.”

The bikes are made to order, in your choice of walnut- or cypress-veneered ply.
