Located in San Francisco, California, the Clifford Studio was once a freestanding garage/carriage house that has now been converted into a light-filled painting studio by Bach Architecture, complete with a reading spot, bathroom, and outdoor patios.

The rectangular box-like design features an elongated skylight that spans much of the length of the building, filtering light through the exposed wooden ceiling joists. Double doors and a window on the end allow additional light and fresh air to enter the space.
The courtyard between the main house and studio share two patios, one of which is right off of new studio.
Just off the main workspace between built-in bookcases, is a door that leads to the powder room. White oak wood was used to build out the bathroom, shelving and seating area and its light finish pairs nicely with the white walls.
