A Magnetically-Separable Architect's Scale with Twelve Different Scales Rather than Six

Fancy, elaborate drawing tools continue to have their day on Kickstarter. The latest is this $41 twist on the architect’s scale, called T3.

Listen beautiful relax classics on our Youtube channel.

Here’s the “problem” it solves: Standard architect’s scales “usually contains 6 scales, which may not be useful enough for professional design. These rulers, sometimes, are either too big to be carried around, or too small that the measurement cannot be read properly.”

The designer’s solution is to break the scale into three rulers that attach by magnets (of course). Each segment has additional scales engraved on the inside of the rules, giving you a total of twelve. The outer faces feature 1:20, 1:30, 1:40, 1:50, 1:60, and 1:100, while the inner faces feature 1:15, 1:25, 1:75, 1:80, 1:125, and 1:175. You can put these together in all sorts of goofy configurations.

An optional $21 fourth segment features centimeters, inches, points and picas.

It has, of course, already been successfully Kickstarted, with over a month left to pledge.
