A sustainable egg carrier for the modern farmer

Design student Emiliy Zirimis is a senior at Pratt Institute. Recently, she was tasked to create a sustainable package to hold four duck eggs. Zirimis designed a package for the eggs made from a single piece of folded chipboard using no adhesives. The box is held together by a system of tabs, which also hold each of the four large eggs in place.

The package is easy to assemble, an important goal for farmers that must quickly gather eggs and fill the package at markets. Lastly, it protects the center of the shell as its transported home.
