Anonymously-dressed dancers tumble down circular stairway in Paris’ Panthéon

The Panthéon in Paris earlier in October hosted an unusual dance routine set atop a rotating circular stairway.

The performance-based installation was created by multi-disciplinary movement artist Yoann Bourgeois and was active for ten days. The installation involved anonymously dressed dancers tumbling down into a discrete trampoline at the centre after going up a couple of steps. The platform was strategically placed over the Panthéon’s Foucault Pendulum, devised by French physicist Léon Foucault to depict our planet’s rotation.
