Artist Xu Zhen discusses the founding of Art-Ba-Ba, one of the first art-focused websites in China that disseminates news about international contemporary art and happenings from within China. He also shares his efforts to archive some of the artist-led activities that took place in China after 1989.
Xu Zhen is one of 71 artists participating in “Art and China after 1989: Theater of the World,” on view at the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum in New York from October 6, 2017, to January 7, 2018.
