Art made from disposable chopsticks

Hong Yi (AKA “Red”) is a very creative Chinese artist, who just continuously finds new ways to create. She likes to experiment with different mediums such as food and shadows. This time she has used 15,000 disposable bamboo chopsticks burnt with a blowtorch. This piece was made for Facebook Singapore office, inspired by the legend of a half fish, half lion mythological animal. The image burnt on is the Merlion taking Singapore into the future.
