Artist creates realistic paintings on side of icebergs

Sean Yoro, also known as Hula, is usually an artist who paints surfboards. However, he recently created a new mural series called “A’o ’Ana (The Warning)”, which utilizes a pretty different medium: ice.

Yoro uses the iceberg and the water as a scene, and creates the paintings using the area around it. This series is very charged by the topic of climate change. These murals will have melted away in just a few weeks, which also highlights a point in the discussion about climate change.

“I hope they ignite a sense of urgency, as they represent the millions of people in need of our help who are already being affected from the rising sea levels of climate change.”
