Phil Ferguson came up with an interesting strategy for making friends when he moved from Perth in Western Australia to Melbourne last year. The 22-year-old artist launched an Instagram and began to crochet food themed hats.
His first attempt was a cheeseburger, inspired by the fast food restaurant he worked at, and “From that point onward I thought about how to do food hats,” Ferguson explains. He now has an entire collection of food-themed hats including hot dogs, eggs, coffee, fruit loops, and many more.
