Artist Antoine Geiger explores the societal effects of portable technology in his latest series “SUR-FAKE”. After taking pictures of people busy on their smartphones, Geiger took to Photoshop to make it appear as if users are getting their faces sucked into their phones. The artist explains that SUR-FAKE places, “the screen as an object of ‘mass subculture’, alienating the relation to our own body, and more generally to the physical world.”
