‘Moonassi’ is a series by Daehyun Kim, a Seoul-based artist whose black-and-white illustrations offer a meditative, dreamlike reflection on the human self. Started as a project in university, ‘Moonassi’ went on to become an on-going lifetime series for the Korean illustrator/graphic designer. Drawing inspiration from traditional East Asian paintings, each of his drawings possesses a uniformly featuring black-clad boys interacting with each other and their surreal surroundings.
