Colorful stonehenge-like sculptures line the desert in Las Vegas

Every inch of the world is a canvas for beautiful artwork. Even if it’s in the middle of the desert in Las Vegas like Ugo Rondinone‘s latest.

The Swiss artist’s project, called, “Seven Magic Mountains”, is comprised of a cluster of colored rocks piled up onto each other. When looked at from afar, the arrangement appears to be a neat, organized row. Up close, the 30 to 35 feet tall structures look menacing towering over you. Each limestone rock is locally-sourced and painted with day glow hues. Rondinone says, “Seven Magic Mountains is an artwork of thresholds and crossings, of seclusion and gathering, of balanced marvels and excessive colors, and the contrary air between the desert and the city lights.”
