Crochetting for social issues

Polish visual artist, Agata Oleksiask, leaves a footprint of yarn wherever she goes. You may find her crochet trail all around the world, not only in museums, but randomly on the streets, covering sculptures, sailing on and even under the sea.

For Olek, crochet is not only an old fashioned craft, she makes a statement out of it. She involves herself and volunteers from the communities hosting her ambitious projects. The groups crochet away for days or weeks, in order to bringing attention to social issues she considers important.
