Drawings with giant fingerprints hidden in plain view

Nicolas Jolly is a French artist sketching with black ink on white paper. At first glance his drawings are fairly traditional and reference a “Starry Night” impressionist flow. His landscapes and street scenes are in some ways almost derivative, but with a closer look, you’ll see that each of his drawings are imbued with the telltale loops, whorls, and arches of human fingerprints; prints that give each sketch subliminal flow and motion.

At first these patterns are barely perceptible, but upon examination, the shapes instill the compositions with an eerie quality, a sense that each drawing has literally been touched by God.
