‘Fear and Loathing’ illustrator releases weird new book

Radical British artist Ralph Steadman has been illustrating books for fifty years. Steadman’s ink-splattered, drawings are immediately recognizable as the images from Hunter S. Thompson’s book Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. Steadman and Thompson worked together for forty years.

Now the prolific artist has released what his publisher calls “the ultimate monograph of his creative genius.” ‘Proud Too Be Weirrd’ is a 448-page tome of frenzied, ink-splattered illustrations that take you on a trip through his mind and studio. Additionally, Steadman’s first person narrative and commentary shows off his intelligence, iconoclastic political views and wry sense of humor. Must have!
