FILM at LACMA presents classic and contemporary narrative and documentary films, artists and their influences, emerging auteurs, international showcases, special guest-curated programs, and conversations with artists and special guests.
LACMA members are invited to join FILM at LACMA for a special screening of Argentina, 1985 and a post-screening conversation with director Santiago Mitre and star Ricardo Darin.
Argentina, 1985 is inspired by the true story of Julio Strassera, Luis Moreno Ocampo, and their young legal team of unlikely heroes in their David-vs-Goliath battle, in which, under constant threat, they dared to prosecute Argentina’s bloodiest military dictatorship against all odds and in a race against time to bring justice to the victims of the military junta.
You will receive a link to view the film on the event date.
