Frank Lloyd Wright | HOW TO SEE Tokyo’s Imperial Hotel with Ken Oshima

Frank Lloyd Wright’s Tokyo “Imperial Hotel” (Teikoku Hoteru), completed in 1923, was described by the architect as a blending of East and West, and thus neither of the East nor the West. The hotel was demolished in 1967 just as skyscrapers began to take over Tokyo, but surviving photographs and publications from the Wright Archives give us a glimpse of the lost architectural masterpiece.
