This is about as basic an art medium as it gets. Pavel Sinev uses electrical cords, tubing and wire all held together with zip ties to form playful objects. The zip ties become integrated into the work in the form of decoration, making some objects, like the bear, appear patterned.
These basic materials are transformed into minimal interpretations of things like a teddy bear, a baby, shoes and a dog. The construction process is left raw, with exposed zip ties and ends of plugs. Sinev definitely wants the viewer to know the simplicity and accessibility of his work and process.
