Funky-fun lighting for the home: ‘The Bloom Light’

Tom Raffield is a lighting designer hailing from rural Cornwall, England. His devotion to nature has been his most valuable asset throughout his award-winning career. His ‘Bloom Light’ Pendant is one such example as it draws inspiration from the peaceful forest of Cornwall.

The light uses petals of bent wood arranged into symmetrical shapes around the bulb. The petals are made from a combination of high quality sustainable oak, ash or walnut. They cover most of the bulb while leaving a small opening for it to glow and cast soft shadows in the surrounding space.
