Glow in the dark ceramics redefine sculpture

Ceramics have been used for centuries to create some of the most beautiful sculptures known to man. Hungarian artist Bogi Fabian is redefining the art with a new twist.

By using UV paint, Fabian is able to create very unique ceramic sculptures that look great in a well-lit room, but look just as good in the dark. That’s right, they glow! Each piece is hand-sculpted, then placed in the oven four times between 800 and 1150°C, engraved, painted with self-made UV colors, and finally polished.

Every piece is unique in its styling and color and glows in the dark to show its true, neon-laden characteristics. Check out some of the sculptures below, and visit Fabian’s website for a more detailed look at her brilliantly innovative process.
