Gorgeous flora inspired porcelain works by Hitomi Hosono

Like thousands of little popcorn-like things bunched up together, Hitomi Hosono‘s new ceramic works are impeccable!

The ceramicist creates marvellous botanical forms that you really need to see up close to admire properly. Featuring hundreds of leaf sprigs and other forms inspired by flora and fauna, the monochromatic porcelain sculptures are based on plants that Hosono encounters during walks through East London.

Listen beautiful relax classics on our Youtube channel.

She says, “It is my intention to transfer the leaf’s beauty and detail into my ceramic work, using it as my own language to weave new stories for objects.”

Check out some of her works below and find more on the artist’s website and through her gallery Adrian Sassoon.
