Gravity-defying photographs that are dangerously real. No Photoshop required!

Li Wei is a Chinese contemporary artist whose work is a mix of performance art and photography. His fantastical images depict staged scenes of a surrealistic nature, skillfully arranged and captured to reflect the connection between people and their urban surroundings.

You might ask yourself: how in the world did he pull this off? The Beijing-based artist states that all of his works are achieved manually through optical illusions. With the aid of mirrors, scaffolding, metal wires, and acrobatics, Wei managed to construct an absurdly funny version of reality, no Photoshop required.

You can see more of his brilliant works at his official website.
