Aside from being married to each other, Rob and Nick Carter have one other thing that bonds them – art. The husband and wife duo have been collaborating and experimenting with different kinds of innovative art processes for over 20 years.
Now, as a photographic ode to the humbling and holistic practice of yoga, the English artistic team created eerie photograms of specific yoga poses. Female models were asked to perform postures in a darkroom and directly on top of a light-sensitive surface to perfectly capture the transformation of the body that takes place when practicing yoga. The experiment also highlights the strength, balance, and flexibility of the human body in a strange yet interesting photographic technique.
Yoga Photograms can be viewed at London’s RN at 5A from September 27, 2017 to January 17, 2018.
