“Hypnotic Show” at the Guggenheim

Conceived by Raimundas Malašauskas and Marcos Lutyens, “Hypnotic Show” is an intimate experiment in cognitive exhibition making through art and hypnosis. A responsive, site-specific work that served as an imaginary conclusion to the exhibition “Tales of Our Time,” this iteration of “Hypnotic Show” explored how an image or notion of a place could be presented through alternative modes of narrative. This video offers a sense of what it felt like to participate in “Hypnotic Show” at the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, where it was activated on March 7 and 8, 2017.

This program was made possible by The Robert H. N. Ho Family Foundation.
