Celebrate L.A.’s finest jazz musicians with Jazz at LACMA, presented Friday evenings from April to December 2 this year.
This week, join us for a special Angel City Jazz Festival concert with Jonathan Pinson’s Boom Clap.
Now in its 15th year, the Angel City Jazz Festival features a special Jazz at LACMA concert with percussionist/drummer Jonathan Pinson. Jonathan received his Bachelors of Arts at the Berklee College of Music and was one of seven musicians selected for the prestigious Thelonious Monk Institute of Jazz Performance at UCLA. At the age of 23, he toured with Herbie Hancock and Wayne Shorter’s band, which has led to recordings and concerts with Ambrose Akinmusire, John Clayton, Dave Liebman, Kamasi Washington, and Marquis Hill, to name a few.
