Kaku Dako: A DIY Paper and Bamboo Kite Kit by TAIT Design Co.

As a child, do you ever remember the pure joy of either flying a kite or spotting someone flying one and seeing how long they’re able to keep it in the air? Detroit-based TAIT Design Co., who previously revamped the yoyo, are back with DIY kite kits that will have you outside reliving your childhood dreams in a matter of minutes. Kaku Dako is a paper and bamboo kite kit that includes everything you need to assemble your very own kite.

Inspired by traditional Japanese kites, this version comes in three colors – Peach, Mint, and Black and White – with a different geometric pattern on each one. The kit features easy instructions that are printed on the back of the kite and mess-free peel and stick glue strips for easy assembly.

Each kite comes in a reusable cardboard briefcase to store it in when you’re done flying for the day.
