As a child I remember looking really close at bugs like flies and spiders to try and imagine how they see me back. I could never quite see the detail that I knew was present but still managed to feel a strange connection with these buzzing and crawling members of my little world. Yudy Sauw is providing the macro-powered sight I wish I had in her stunning photographs of bugs’ eyes.
As if understanding how bugs see was not mysterious enough, these photos make visible a level of detail I never knew existed. The iridescence of some of these creatures is truly stunning.
