This week McDonald’s began selling limited-edition Happy Meals for adults.
Created in collaboration with streetwear fashion brand Cactus Plant Flea Market, the boxed meals include a Big Mac or 10-piece Chicken McNuggets along with a “toy,” which is one of four collectible figurines: Grimace, the Hamburglar, Birdie or a weird new “Cactus Buddy!” creature. All are “designed in Cactus Plant Flea Market’s signature ‘double vision’ style,” meaning they all have four eyes.
The two brands have also collaborated on releasing a line of McDonald’s-themed streetwear, also limited-edition.
The release of these products, and the attendant excitement on social media, seems to confirm that we are all living in a simulation.
