In December I got rid of as much stuff as I could, and everything I own now is in my car. The boxes are mostly filled with sketchbooks. I left LA as a sort of escape to freedom from the things holding me down, and I may or may not return later in the future. Right now I’m in Utah, and the beautiful thing is I have no idea where I’m going next. (Although I’m deciding between Yellowstone or Denver…Probably Yellowstone). This trip has already done a lot for me, my art, my mindset. It’s a challenge to be away from the comfort zone, to learn about myself and the basic things you need to stay alive. I’m pretty excited to see where this takes me, and I’ve only been two weeks in!
