Melt Into the Kasbah Outdoor Furniture Collection

We’re all about spending every last minute of summer outside, and Living Divani’s new outdoor furniture collection, Kasbah, is a completely customizable way of relaxing. Designed by David Lopez Quincoces, it includes a modular sofa that manages to be informal, elegant and delicate all at the same time. A solid wood frame is the base for its various elements – terminal, pouf and corner – that can be combined however you wish with cushions and a roller that function as an armrest or headrest, should the frame be used as a daybed.

“Kasbah was born while working for a residential project for a client based in Morocco, who asked for a very large sofa with a special modularity, very versatile, that could be configured in different ways and which could use wood as the main tactile material. We also decided to work with Teak Burma, a material coming from certified plantations, as well as using specific molds made of recycled plastic in a way that all the components were as oriented as possible towards sustainability, always guaranteeing the maximum quality of the project,” said designer David Lopez Quincoces.

The solid Teak Burma wood is treated with an oil finish that repels water. Kasbah’s seat panels are made of black milled HPL, supported by the frame and molded corner and central supports in recycled and regenerated polyamide. The cushions are upholstered with outdoor fabrics and can be removed via zippers and velcro fastenings when they need to be cleaned.
