Mesmerizing videos of water transfer printing

The technique is called hydrographics or water transfer printing. Using a process that is similar to how marbling floats pigment on water, this technique floats a printed pattern on the water’s surface. When an object is submerged, the pattern is then transferred onto the object’s surface.

The mesmerizing videos below show have been widely shared. Demonstrating how the process can be used commercially, the video producers, HG Arts, demonstrate the process using automobile parts.
